| Quality Solutions for Quality Firms |
| Lawgistics is a boutique technology
consulting and systems engineering firm
specializing in law firms. We provide the
full array of technology services to law firms,
from basic computer support to full practice
management software implementations. Most
technology firms are limited in the scope of
work they can provide because they service many
different types of businesses and cannot keep up
with the nuances of each business type. At
Lawgistics we do not have that problem because
we focus on law firms and only law firms.
The company was started by a lawyer in 1997, is
still lawyer owned and operated, and is uniquely
situated to provide full technology services to
law firms. We accomplish this by following a
handful of basic principles that have served our
clients well over the years. |
| First, we insist upon quality business class
hardware from top established vendors.
We find many firms running consumer class
systems or no name computers built in someone's
garage. These systems have inadequate or no
warranties, are less secure, and are not
appropriate for high pressure business
environments like law firms. The systems
our clients use are designed to run efficiently
in business environments and require very little
support from our firm, resulting in reduced down
time and lower support costs. |
| Second, we have a strong preference for
Microsoft products. The debate over this issue
is unending, but the bottom line is that
Microsoft has taken a broad array of
technologies and made them practical and
affordable for small businesses like law firms
(even the largest law firms are considered small
businesses in the global technology arena).
We're not going to ask you to give up Word
Perfect, but Microsoft products work well
together and the more you standardize on them
the easier it will be integrate things (i.e.
achieve real time wireless email and calendar
synchronization over your PDA mobile phone).
If you are a law firm, like it or not, Microsoft
is your best friend in the technology world. |
| Third, we make great effort to identify and
learn the best selection in each software
category, and strongly advise our clients to
choose that software when adding a new
application. Many technology firms try to remain
software agnostic in some ill guided effort to
be appear impartial. Not Lawgistics. We
find the best vendor, partner up with them, and
lean on them to provide our clients with the
best solution possible. This approach has
allowed us to build strong relationships with
vendors and obtain special software builds,
features and support for our clients. Are we
biased toward that vendor, YES, and for good
reason, they're the best (and if that changes
we'll switch). |
| Lastly, we've taken the quality approach.
Everything we do is quality, and every solution
we recommend and implement is quality. This
approach has been very successful, but works
best for like minded clients. Our clients
tend to be top law firms in their respective
fields, and they appreciate a technology firm
that takes the same care in supporting their
technology systems as they do in servicing their
law clients. Our daily aspiration is to meet
that standard. |
